One of the covers that didn't make it - but I still like it...

Love your neighbour and yourself

A thought for today....

"Love is the centre and the core of everything, and that Self is the place where all love must begin. Those who love others grandly are those who love themselves grandly. Those who have a high toleration and acceptance of others are those who have a high toleration and acceptance of themselves. You cannot show another a part of you that you cannot show yourself. Therefore, begin where all growth, where all evolution, where all love must begin: with the person in the mirror.

Will you not love yourself grandly today? For the world's sake?"

ABOUT ME

About this author

I write books, short stories, and sometimes boring stuff that I am sure no one will ever read - but I am paid to write it!

I paint pictures to recover from writing and I write to recover from painting pictures. I have a day job that pays the bills. I am married, Christian and have degrees in arts, town planning and theology.
I love strawberries and tomatoes but not together. In winter I eat porridge for breakfast but in summer I eat granola.
I hate the slugs and mice that eat the veggies I try to grow in my garden. I live in Scotland.

I am excited!

Guardian Angel Gregorious is sent to Scotland on a mission to give fate a kick in the right direction. Many people in the west end of Glasgow need some angelic help. There are the young women who have escaped from unhealthy relationships and come to stay in a women's refuge run by eccentric nuns. There is the owner of a nearby chic 'angel' boutique who has never seen an angel. There is an ex-rugby player who is confined to a wheelchair since an accident left him depressed and withdrawn. And many miles away, on a Hebridean island there is a troubled young minister.
Add to this mix a family where women have the gift of second sight, a family seeking to reclaim their inheritance and an increasingly desperate gangster who wants revenge on the woman who left him. Guardian Angel Gregorious steps into the storm to put fate back on course, but will anyone accept guidance from a heavenly messenger? Can he have any influence in the twenty-first century when many don't believe?

Jean de Beurre writes a lively paced romantic adventure set in Glasgow and on the beautiful islands of the windswept Hebrides.
